Possible shoutings of CHUG CHUG CHUG and whatever else you would expect to find at the best night of drinking ever. For now, The King of Crunk has pulled himself away from the crowd and is chilling at the bar. Totally eating peanuts and sipping on his likely 30th pitcher by now. HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH A DRUNKEN KING? That's entirely up to you. ]

[He could imagine Shirou's return was no small thing; if Diarmuid and any of his children had been in the same position, he would have been unspeakably relieved. For a moment he came close to bringing up the topic, but thought better of it and stopped himself. No reason to risk bringing a reasonably civil conversation to a screeching halt.]

I tend to manage well enough, usually. Distancing myself from Kayneth has done a great deal to help that.

[A sea of conflicted thoughts swim through his mind. He essentially killed the man in front of him, for no good reason. Kiritsugu has done a great deal of killing in his life, but he had never had this type of talk with someone he once considered an enemy.]

[It's frightening. The shell known as the Magus Killer doesn't show the slightest sign of emotion, but the person inside is confused by the humanization of what he once saw as nothing more than a target.]

[Diarmuid would be lying if he said he didn't resent Kiritsugu a little. He might have hated him, if he didn't think hating Kayneth was already one too many. The emotion was still mostly unfamiliar and more than a little frightening to him, and he wasn't going to waste his time with it more than he already did.]

I wish that I knew. Even after all this time, there's far too much I know nothing about here.

[Sure, he resented him. And sure, their methods would clearly never do anything but clash. But that was no reason he shouldn't at least try to give him a chance. He'd extended the same courtesy to Kayneth and had been met with more tension, but it was still worth a try.]
