You would be correct, though I may be exaggerating things a little.

Perhaps, if they truly think they are dying while it is not quite that serious at all.

He never said as such, but he was complaining enough that it seemed it. Besides, some hangovers you wish you were dead during, even when you know what it is.

I am afraid I have never experienced one of these 'hangovers' before, so I can not speak from experience. It does not sound very pleasant, however.

Count yourself lucky, they're rather distressing on the system.

I shall try my best to avoid them then, even if I would not know how to get such a 'hangover'.

Well, you should be fine as long as you stay away from excessive alcohol and sugar consumption.

The most important part about drinking alcohol is knowing your limits. Or at least, I think so.

And you would be right. However for some people those limits magically disappear once they get sloshed enough.

Perhaps it would be wiser to put up signs about the dangers to remind them.

Theoretically that would be a good idea, however in practice I doubt it would work.

You think they would just keep drinking regardless?

Yes I do, for various reasons.

Would you mind sharing a few of these?

If you'd like.

1. The ability to read something goes down with intoxication.
2. The ability to actually CARE about what you've just read goes down with intoxication.
3. Everyone else is probably drinking and your glass keeps getting refilled.
4. They've tried it with cigarettes (not to mention really disturbing pictures being added to it), and these people are sober and still smoking.
5. People rebelling against perceived rules.

Yes, you thought it through rather well.. Although if you would describe it that way, it almost seems as if it would be better for them to not drink in general.

It would be, but that would be expecting a little too much rationality.

I suppose there are not many followers of rationality other than me in this place, then.
