[Well, now there's some angry rich douchebag on the network who appears to be standing in front of the hotel. Sure, he doesn't really look angry, but it's the kind of look where someone's really obviously trying not to look angry. It's almost possible to feel rage emanating from the screen.]

This is Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi speaking. It appears as though there's been some sort of mistake here-I have no memory of coming to America, nor did I have any plans to come to America. To be transported from Japan to America without knowing isn't exactly natural.

Does anyone know what happened here, or am I going to have to figure things out for myself?

[Juuudging from the fact he's not enduring trash-talk right now, Kiritsugu immediately figures out Kayneth's from before their confrontation. The lack of damage to his nerves would have been a clue if Kiritsugu himself hadn't been restored from the brink of death upon coming here.]

[With or without thaumathurgy, Kayneth's mentally a magus. His sheer personality is enough to classify him as a threat. Better to not draw his attention by simply turning off the feed.]

...Another new resident.

Doesn't hurt to keep track of arrivals.

[Though his tone is emotionless, Kiritsugu finds the situation unsettling. That's saying a lot, considering his typical state of mind. His last meeting with Kayneth almost makes it seem like he went too far, so he's not quite sure if he should feel regret at it.]

[It was justified, he believes. Minimal as it may have been, there was the possibility of Kayneth attempting to carry out revenge.]

[But... what was the result of such caution? Kayneth simply forms part of the negative count of lives he ultimately saved. Kiritsugu can take no pride in that. He does not feel sorry for the man himself, bearing the belief that many magi will eventually pose a danger to the general public, but the single number his life represents in his scale... that is something he cannot turn a blind eye to.]
