[Action?/Video] April 13th~Happy Birthday to John~

[If you happen to be living in the school dorms, you may have noticed some strange things on Friday morning. Buckets placed precariously over slightly ajar doors. Many of them filled with glitter or confetti. Careful, they might fall. There is black shoe polish smeared on the light switches in the bathrooms. In the common living area of Deacon hall, all of the chairs have whoopee cushions on them. And a few 'lucky' people have their door blocked off with copious amounts of duct tape. Enjoy. Feel free to ignore the silly pranks. John can be pretty immature.]

[That afternoon, John is getting on the phone.]

Hey guys!

So, it's kind of my birthday today! Would anyone be interested in getting together and watching movies or something?

[He's really glad she did though. That is a very pleasant surprise. He feels bad about the pranks now. He should have asked which room was hers before he did it.]

*shrugs* I got out. I put the door back on afterward, too.

You had to take your door off?

hehe, I guess duct tape is stronger than I thought it was.

I punched it. *Said without any change in tone from Kaoru...*

I dunno. I didn't really give them a specific time. Anyone who wants to can just join us whenever.

[Excuse him while he hastily shoves everything in his closet so that his room doesn't look messy.]

*Kaoru is there in a bit. Maybe a bit longer than it would take normally. The reason is clear when she knocks on the door... pulling a wagon with each arm, both of them filled with bags of popcorn and candy. There are enough movie snacks here to eat continuously for a day.*

Wow, you really came prepared!

[Perusing that candy. Awesome.]

Somebody said that food was common for birthdays in his world. *shrug* This was the kind they had when we went to the theatre.

It is! And good choice. There's nothing better than popcorn for movies.

I just got everything that I remembered them having at the theatre.

*She means everything. Right down to the buckets of fries and frozen yogurt from the specialty stands, plus all manner of candy down to weird alien Cool Ranch Twizzlers. One does not simply outdo Kiryuu Kaoru.*

[He is only just now realizing just how much she brought. This much would be enough for an entire theater of movie-goers.]

Wow, what did you do? Just get everything they had?

[But he'll just be helping himself to some of those twizzlers.]

Somebody mentioned that their birthday customs included a day's worth of food.

It does! But it doesn't usually all come from one person.

I'm kind of impressed. I mean, that you went out of your way like this.

Who's coming?

Saori said she was, and Sakurako. And I talked to Neville, Issei, and Ayako too. And a bunch of other people too.

Whoever wants to come, I guess. But even if none of them show up, the fact that you came still makes this a pretty awesome birthday.
