*Isn't that a nice castle the phone is recording? It's just sitting there in the middle of the city, almost eerie looking in the moonless night. But when the camera turns back around to David, he's smiling.*

They say a man's home is his castle, but how few can make that literal? Sure, it's missing a few things to really make it home, but it's a start. Would anyone like to come visit?

An interesting possibility. In either case, I think it might be worth it to take a small road trip to see if people act in the same way outside of Prospero. I have been missing New York anyway...

I might. If we get another opportunity like this, I definitely have some things from home that don't fit in with the technology level here. A shame I couldn't get my tower back, too. That might have been visible from the mainland. Ah well, minor disappointments.

Oh. That's probably better than killing people. They remember when their own die, but they forget us dying once they see us having revived.

I'd prefer to avoid that as much as possible, revivals or not. But still...I think I have an idea for what I'm going to do.

It's possible. It's also possible that the effect is weaker or even nonexistent off this island. After all, as far as I know, everything out of the ordinary has appeared here.

That's true. Others have left the island for a while. They might know more.

I'll ask about it, although I suspect that if anyone had tried an experiment like that before, they'd have made the results public.

I'm not sure everyone makes perfect sense to anyone, but I am at least one of the better people at understanding things.

Maybe. I know I was created to destroy the world and that the concentrated power of destruction replaces my actual life force, but everyone else like me was made from something. Like a pile of leaves, or water. I don't really know anything about what I am.

Can't there be more than one reason? Yes, I find the wanton destruction of life morally objectionable, but if I see other reasons why you're wrong, shouldn't I point them out too?
