[Ryuunosuke looks much more cheerful as he lounges about in his hotel room.]

Right, okay. I don't know if anybody else has this problem, but I'm just a little behind the times when it comes to technology - that is, things have advanced enough here that I don't know as much as I'd like even if I can manage the important stuff.

I was going to keep this entry short. Uh. I need game suggestions. If anybody is current with video game technology, what should I be saving up for? Cost is definitely a concern, but I'm pretty sure I can get something eventually. And I'd like something with multiplayer options, 'cause, you know. It is my solemn duty as roommate and Master to introduce Caster to everything that exists. It is also my solemn duty to beat the pants off of him a couple times.

So. What kinds of games do you guys like?

A city full of Servants and you really think you could be the only one with that problem?

And what do pants have to do with anything?
croibhristeoir: (so who am i now)

...'Internet'?

And that's a ridiculous-sounding expression.

"Video game technology"?

[Caster sounds rather lost. For a moment he simply looms, staring at Ryuunosuke with wide eyes, before speaking.]

If you wish my pants, you have only to ask. Far be it for me to deny such a simple request.

Hoho-! You sound confident, Ryuunosuke!

[And just like that his mood shifts from confused to pleased. He spreads his hands wide, gesturing broadly. A wide grin plasters his face.]

Then it will simply have to be my duty to fight you in these games with all I have!

All the video games here seem to be different from the ones back home, since video games haven't been much of a development priority since before I was born.

If they work the same, though, just find the fighting game with the longest title and you should be set for something you can play with other people. Could give a proper recommendation if I had the money for a stupid game console...

*sigh*

If you find one, let me know. Actually beating someone at a video game would be a nice way to break up the boredom that doesn't involve swinging a fire axe around.

I recognised some of the games here, but the latest games from home are now a few years old here.

As for suggestions, there's always fighting games like Street Fighter and party games like Mario Party.

There's always all those racing games, too! Add in Mario Kart for items craziness, unless you're a competitive gamer.

Well it depends on what you're looking for a game. Do you want easy-to-pick-up games or something you could invest time in? A lot games do have a multiplayer option included. Oh, game genre's important too.

I do like horror games or anything that's got heavy reference to folklore or mythology. When I was home, I often played games like tetris on my phone during my daily train commute.

We usually just play fighting games back at the HQ. ...Of course, we actually have hologram projecting TVs back home so, it's actually a little more awesome than the retro stuff they have here. But, hm... I think I remember the Soul Caliburs being pretty fun.

[identity profile] buttery-tech.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
We also have a VR room, but, uh, that's... not technically considered a game. It's more for training uses. But still, I'm sure they'll eventually release a version to the public. Can you imagine actually being the character you play in a game?

[identity profile] lovesstrength.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
If you want to beat the pants off of him, why not just actually do it?

[identity profile] lovesstrength.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, but I think the fastest way to prove yourself is to actually do it, not pretend to with a game.

To hell with all these "technological" games. What we need is some REAL games. You know, of the coliseum variety.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, you can go to the arcade. Most of the games there are for two people. Plus you can celebrate your victory over your challengers in public.
