[The screen would flicker on with the sound of a few things hitting the wall. It would seem that something had knocked the device to the floor with some force and accidentally powered it on. Though whoever might be listening is getting a view of the ceiling, a particularly irritated voice can be heard ranting about her current circumstances.]

...unforgivable. Absolutely unforgivable. When I find out who is responsible for this, I'll tear their heart out and feed it to them.

[Another broken cup, perhaps? Either way, it's in pieces, now. Seems like it's taken some of the wind out of her sails, though.]

No furniture. No Ronove. No magic. What kind of hellhole is this? M...maybe this is hell. ...No...but this definitely isn't Rokkenjima.

[And then the device on the floor caught her eye. To the viewer, the angry voice would give way to a stately looking blonde with an inquisitive stare.]

A tape-recorder...?

Not really, but it's not like I can do anything but be a bit unnerved. I just hope you don't feel like pulling a repeat of that situation here, I guess.

[She shrugged, oddly nonchalant.]

That will all depend on the circumstances, I suppose.

It's not as fun without my powers, though. Having to do things manually is so boring. And without the power to bring someone back, I could run out of playmates quickly.

You're asking a shark what walking feels like, miss. My usual job description involved keeping people alive, or at least, not actively causing harm and death and all that nastiness.

[She shrugged again, and tried to steer the conversation to less morbid places.]

[She'd offer a slight nod.]

Something like that, yeah. It's... an experience. Not wholly unpleasant, yet not entirely wonderful.

[No reason to lie about it.]

Then again, everyone gets an abnormal new skill at some point or another, here. I guess it evens out.

They're all more or less the same: a summoning or a manifestation -- something along those lines. Every one seems to have a unique, static appearance based on who had summoned-slash-manifest them.

That certainly seems interesting.
How did you come upon yours?
Is it very powerful?

[There might be a hint of excitement in her voice. Just a bit.]

It just kinda showed up. Shenanigans were involved: I have it on good faith they usually are when a Persona -- that's they're called, by the way -- first shows up.

As far as power goes, I... guess? It seems to be. S'not very intimidating compared to the ones I've seen others have, though.

So, basically, one has to put themselves in the way of harm and hope for the best?
Eh, at least it won't be boring.

I'm a bit anxious to get my own. It's a very empty feeling when you have no servant to call upon.

Well, I didn't say that precisely, but that does seem to be the most sure-fire method, yes.

Servants, huh. I shouldn't be surprised; can't say your dress didn't give off the impression of wealth or prestige.

Hm, I'll have to collect myself and see if I can find this Persona, then.

[Oh, she's so humble.]

Even now I can still taste Ronove's cooking.

[Wistful sigh.]

Hm, I should extend my sympathies, then. Not a whole lot of luxury to be found, here.

[There's a pause, before she adds.]

That's kind of an odd name, Ronove. I've seen it before, but it wasn't quite the kind of thing I'd figure someone would name their child after.

[Chintap.]

I suppose it can't be helped. This room may not be the most luxurious, but at least it's comfortable. It'll do until I build myself up here.

I should hope there are no children with the name of a demon.

It's an odd name, but quite fitting for him. He's very proper as far as his kind are concerned.

I'd be more skeptical about that claim if there wasn't so much sorta-demonic summoning going on already.

That and the 'Golden Witch' thing. Seems like a suitable title for someone who'd summon a... what was it, marquis of hell?

I'm more surprised that he's an excellent chef, now that I really think about it.

[She'd giggle, only this one was pretty genuine as opposed to the maniacal laughter she's known for.]

Is it so surprising? He's my butler, so he'd have to be good at such domesticity, right?

Of course, if it sounds better, he's excellent in battle.
I'm just more accustomed to calling on other furniture for that kind of task.

No no, it makes sense. But when you put it that way I'm getting a fun mental image. A dapper gentleman, teacup and saucer in one hand, both perfectly balanced without spilling a drop. The other hand is busy throwing punches or what have you. Cravat, monocle, suit -- his butler-y raiment in general doesn't have a hint of disarray in the least as he battles on.

[She pauses, asking almost shyly.]

Does he have a monocle?

[She's perfectly delighted hearing such an accurate description. It'll only make her move a little closer to the screen.]

Yes, yes! He does wear a monocle! He's a picture of proper attire without a hair out of place. You speak of him as though you've met him.

Ah, but he makes the very best black tea you've ever tasted.~

Aw, I was just thinking what a proper butler looks like. That's all. Sounds like he's the most proper of butlers, then.

[A pause.]

What's the difference between black tea and... err, other forms of tea? Never really been all that learned on that subject.

He's very proper, but he's not stuffy or anything.
He jokes and pokes fun. He just does it in a very dignified way.
It's hard to explain.

[She taps a finger to her chin just a moment before answering.]

Black tea tastes a bit stronger than regular tea. It's bold and rich.
It really depends on what you blend it with. I like mine with milk and sugar.

He pokes fun? At you, even? Sounds like it tests the master/servant relationship a bit, but I dunno. A bit of verbal sparring is much better than stony silence. More fun, too.

[As for the tea, she takes a moment to let the new information absorb somewhat.]

It's still less bitter than coffee, I hope. Tea just seems to have more flavor than the other stuff, usually.

Ah, yeah, just a bit. I let him get away with it because I like the company.
He keeps me grounded...as much as I can be.

Oh, much less bitter. I actually prefer mine to be on the sweet side.
I'm also a great fan of tea parties. Have you ever been to one?

Probably nothing like the ones you're thinking of. I do like a warm drink in the middle of the afternoon with good company, though.

A "party" implies I've had tea with more than myself as an attendee, so, nope!
