I stay at the hotel, like most of us do. For some reason the lodging is free to newcomers to the city.

Normal-ish. There are people who've been here a few months longer and people who've just arrived, so about normal.

...We don't really know how to leave.

What's keeping people trapped here anyway? Are there walls around the city or something?

Well, it's an island, but there are boats and planes like normal. The problem is, even if you go back to where your home should theoretically be, you won't find anyone you know or any of what should be there. None of our friends and family's phone numbers will work, and this seems to be the focal point for what's going on.

So..... it's kind of like a different universe.

[Hmm, sburb had been designed to create new universes, but surely this wasn't they meant. And Rose had said their session was barren anyway...]
