[ And true to his word, anyone who bothers to visit the Tavern tonight will be greeted by a crazy yet happily merry atmosphere. There's people singing, dancing, getting their booze on. Possible shoutings of CHUG CHUG CHUG and whatever else you would expect to find at the best night of drinking ever. For now, The King of Crunk has pulled himself away from the crowd and is chilling at the bar. Totally eating peanuts and sipping on his likely 30th pitcher by now. HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH A DRUNKEN KING? That's entirely up to you. ]

Since I can remember, yes. I was a hive-ganger beforehand but the process of Astartes tranformation.

[ He shrugs. ]

I did share my wine though, with my battle-brothers, and the Mournival.

Well, I suppose that's a start. At least you aren't a complete shut-in.

Although you'll have to explain these Mournival people. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the term.

The mournival were the 4 closest counselors of my gene-father, Horus Lupercal, the Warmaster. Horus Aximand, Ezekyle Abaddon, Tarik Torgaddon, and myself.

We each took an aspect of the moon as a form of ritual, and were a group of moral advisors for our lord.

[ He gulps down his wine, hesitating. ]

[She would nod a bit, half understanding.]

That all sounds so official.

I wonder, do you ever do anything spontaneous? You know, simply because you feel like it?

No. My nature is phlegmatic, and I tend towards maintaining something of a reserved demeanor.

[ He smiles a little thought. ]

But the mournival wasn't... official. Just a group of advisors. We were all captains in our own right, we were primarily concerned with questions of morality and guidance within the Legion.

[golden_witch]

I believe that if you did something spur of the moment, you would find it suits you.

[She'd match his smile with one of her own, bright and jovial.]

So, you meet up with your friends to discuss morality and your everyday is based on those strict morals. I couldn't live a life like yours, friend. Not in a million years.

You might find that living such a life would suit you. Strict it may have been, but it kept us sane in a world of war. Until the end, anyway.

[ He shakes his head. ]

We were undone by treachery and lies.

In case you haven't noticed, you aren't in the midst of war any longer.

Certainly there are battles here, but they do not last long and in the end, you retire to a warm bed.

It wouldn't be horrible to change things for a new situation, would it?

[ He is quiet, taking a drink from his wineglass, and refills it. He offers her another glass as well, if she desires. ]

What are you suggesting?

[She'll nod a bit, agreeing to having her glass refilled and then taking another sip of it.]

I'm suggesting that you have some fun in your life before it passes you by completely. That's not out of the question, is it?

Do you have anything in mind?

Yes, actually. This place is playing music, there's plenty of room, and you have a lovely lady before you.

I do not know how to dance.

It's ridiculously simple. I'm not asking you to waltz or anything.

You are awfully tall, though. Do you think your hands would reach my hips comfortably?

I do not foresee a difficulty there, no.

Excellent.

[She'd rise from the table, and offer him her hand in a most ladylike fashion.]

Come. While the song is slow. The slow ones are the easiest to dance to.~

[ Garviel takes it rather gingerly, and just holds it almost like it were an instrument of some sort, more practical than anything else. ]

[golden_witch]

[She'll guide him a bit further out onto the floor, finding a place that would be private enough not to draw loads of attention in case he was as bad a dancer as he expected. She'd take both of his hands in hers before resting them on either side of her body.]

Now, then, the hard part is over. The most a slow song requires is a gentle sway. You can do that much, right~?

[ He nods, and... a surprising thing happens. He's not a trained dancer, but his body is fairly graceful, when it moves. He's been a swordsman for over 200 years, and even in a human body, as opposed to transhuman one, Garviel moves efficiently and well. ]

[golden_witch]

[There's something this witch was not expecting. Someone of his stature would be expected to be slow moving and rigid. But his movements were surprisingly fluid. She would offer him a warm smile to confirm the good job he was doing.]

Are you quite sure this is your first time~? If I didn't know better, I'd say you've danced a good bit before. Don't lie, now.~

Danced? Never. However, I've been fighting one war or another for 200 years. A certain degree of grace would have to have come to my movements by now, or I'd have been slain by an Eldar.

[ He smiles, a distant expression on his face, remembering his duel with the Exarch. ]

[She'd study him a moment before breaking into a soft giggle.]

I'm sure that's true, but try not to daydream on it for too long. I might get jealous.~

I was remembering an old fight. It was a good fight, though. [ He blinks at her. } Why would you be jealous of that?

[golden_witch]

Because I've been kind enough to give you my attention. Likewise, your mind shouldn't be elsewhere when you have a lovely lady in your hands.

All that military knowledge and no idea of the proper etiquette. Tsk.~

My apologies. How can I make amends to you? [ He looks down at her, in his arms, during the dance. Realizing despite her self-promotion, it as she says. Beatrice -is- lovely, and she is in his hands. There is a momentary flash of satisfaction in his face, and... something else. It turns into a frown, but he looks eyes with hers, his grey eyes rather rain-like, at the moment. ]
