Maaaaaaaaybe I'll find something like Mindfang's fluorite octet there! Best dicekind I ever found.

Is Mindfang your ancestor, then?

[Vriska bounced a little, grinning] She was even Orphaner Dualscar's kismesis, the same one that was responsible for feeding our Empress's lusus! She made him soooooooo jealous that her redrom games would take her attention away from the blackrom they had. Really, she was so cool!

Y-you'll have to slow down and use simpler words that a human like me could understand if you want me to follow any of that. The most I understood was that she was amazing, which I suppose is really all I need to know.

Uuuuuuuugh, fine. Mindfang was a pirate. Got that much? She did a lot of great things so someone was sent after her to stop her, Neophyte Redglare. And Redglare had a lusus... a guardian, someone who raised her. Like my lusus was a spider. Redglare's was a dragon called Pyralspite. And I bet the battle was cool... Mindfang lost her eye and arm in it! And during the trial she used her powers to manipulate the jury into thinking Redglare was guilty and made them hang her instead! [Grin grin grin]

[...Well pirates aren't typically nice.]

That's much clearer, thank you. I can see why you'd show off having someone as powerful as that as your ancestor.

-So what's a kismesis?

Hate lover! Someone who you hate and want to fill pails with. And it's really funny she made Dualscar jealous of her redrom flirting because it's totally different. The red quadrants are totally different than the black ones. Nooooooo hate in there whatsoever. A lot of times the flush and pale quadrants are based more on pity or being able to balance the other out. Not like blackrom. So Dualscar was jealous of the attention she was giving others, including that one slave she bought! In fact, he was so jealous of that slave that he killed her! [Grin] She was really cool. Though, I wonder who that slave was and how she could have made Dualscar so jealous.
