When there's no Shadow, there's a gift: either something from the worlds we were in previously, or a clue. Clearly, these cards are the latter. The Velvet Room's attendants may be behind the other gifts, as well.

Enough about that. Does summer vacation really last this long here? What do you even do during this? People can't possibly go to the beach and eat strange fried food every day.

[Those of you who might happen to watch local news today could catch something not entirely out of place--a simple short piece on a small business reopening in the city. Normal, something you'd find on your average local news. The reporter talks for a minute or two about how this particular family-owned business underwent recent renovations. Apparently in celebration of its reopening, they're offering a small discount for the next few days.]

[Except that one could recognize the refurbished building in the background as the weapon shop that had been standing there since day one.]

[Beside the reporter stands a woman that's named as the shop's owner, Darcy. Beside her is a blonde teenager of about eighteen, apparently her younger sister.]

[The news story ends shortly after, with little else of note--except that no one seems to question the existence of a merchant that explicity sells weaponry.]

[Anyone who investigates further and decides to go to the shop themselves will find the younger girl behind the counter--the interior holds a range of basic weaponry varying in age and quality. Swords, axes, spears, maces--behind the girl working there one would find pistols, rifles, and so on.]

[The girl smiles at whoever walks in, greeting them all the same way:]
