*You like Valentine's Day, right? Course you do.

What you wake up to if you live in the hotel or if Mila knows where you live, though, is the outside of your door and various other surfaces having wrapped chocolate hearts stuck on with adhesive mounting squares. Where Mila got this many of either is probably best left unexplained.

You'll probably be spending a long time pulling them off, but at least they're edible?*

So. Groundhog Day. AKA "day in which we predict how long it's going to stay cold by watching a small animal, then compare and contrast with neighbouring states'/provinces'/countries' small animals just to make sure". Yeah, that's today. Apparently none of the groundhogs are agreeing this year, but the closest one to us says early spring, so that's something. Even if nobody actually believes in it.

What weird holidays do you guys celebrate? We've got a ton right here, so might as well spark a discussion. I've had nothing else to do aside from experimenting with replacing the phone's power supply to see if it shuts down during the Dark Hour with foreign parts.

*You may have noticed a drought of Weird Things Happening In Town as of late... well, aside from the Shadows, they've all been right on schedule. However, if you were missing the hotel being toilet papered or the streets being covered in rainbows, never fear. Through the streets of Prospero, you may hear something.

And then see something.

"Something", in this case, being a Pop-Tart cat robot the size of a semi, with long rainbow flags trailing behind it, clunking and rolling down the streets blasting the song. The cat head is transparent enough to allow one April Sinclair and the usual suspect, Mila, to be seen directing the thing with a control panel and laughing at passersby's reactions.

React here and/or post calling them -- does Prospero even have laws about driving while on your cell phone?*

Mkay, let's give this a shot. My turn, huh? Let's see what we've got.

Memory video )

*Back in the present, Mila is doubled over laughing.*

And here I thought it was going to be something bad. You go, Prospero. You go.

It goes. )

*Back in Prospero, Mila is silent for a moment.*

...and this has been Tempting Fate with Mila Kawena. *She sighs and rubs her head.* I'll be here all week.

So, now that everyone's had some time to get used to the stuff they got from home, I have a question. Actually, a couple of questions.

One, who all else had the lack of foresight to get something that turned out to be completely useless over here?

Two, I knew a lot of the stuff back home doesn't exist here, but does that seriously extend to half the components on this list? *groan*

Hey, Prospero.

After the little happy-fest the full moon gave us, I gotta ask. What makes you happy?

This is entirely for scientific research into completely innocent methods of saving the world by filling it with happiness and joy. Something like that.

*You may recall that, over a week ago, one of the victims of the mass disappearance expressed a desire for an event consisting of sparkles and rainbows.

Well, the Shadows and the captors don't seem to be delivering, but somebody else sure is.

Though everything looked fine during the Dark Hour, when you woke up this morning, various public buildings were... different. There are very large construction paper rainbows sticking up over the roof of the hotel, the school, the bus depot, and a variety of other important places, held up by large poles that also weren't there before. Also, everything is covered in glitter. Everything.

Mila ain't showing her face this time, but feel free to thread amongst yourselves in the sheer "what" of it all.*
