[ Investigation is key in everything, but not with a phone that has her name attached to it. After an inevitable struggle with many prepaid phones, she's discovered that there's no way to do what she needs with an ordinary phone. Therefore she must acquire one from any of the other non-natives.

It doesn't take her long to track an extremely dumb and loud-mouthed captive. One that's stupid enough to leave his phone laying around without second thought. Since he's young, she knows he might notice his phone's gone missing, but maybe most of his effort would be spent pitching a fit instead of searching for it.

Once she's made it far enough from the boy, she'll send out a message or two with his phone. Those who are on top of things will recognize it as Eridan Ampora's phone. ]

I'm kinda curious about something. [ 'Kinda' seemed like a kid thing to type. Little does Maiya realize how far off she is. ] There's a lot of people here with the same name - Saber, Lancer, Archer, etc. What does that mean? Do these individuals have any other names? I wonder where I can find them just to ask myself even.

[ After fooling around with this person's phone for a few hours, she's considerate enough to dump it back where the boy would find it. Only after thoroughly wiping it free of her evidence right down to disinfectant and mass deletion of details that day. ]

[Kiritsugu rests his sniper scope on the roof of a building located at three-quarters of the way from Shirou's high school to a bookstore. Having analyzed Saber's daily route long before Maiya came, he has opted to choose this location as the best spot to strike. His hands lack any sort of trembling as he holds the WA2000 in his hands, the exceedingly rare model looking directly at an isolated street. The sound would be enough to alert anyone nearby of what is going on, but by the time they reach the scene, he would be long gone. Once Saber eventually revives, covering the points between this location and Shirou's house and the police station should give them a nearly endless amount of opportunities to keep her dead.]

[It's not simply a matter of getting rid of Servants, he realizes. Sure, most of them are a potential threat, which Kiritsugu has never suffered, but Saber in particular would never hurt Shirou.]

[Not directly, anyways.]

[By staying with him, Saber denies Shirou adequate protection. Yes, she may have been nigh-unbeatable back in their world, but here, Kiritsugu has the advantage. He realizes how modern times work better. He knows how to deal with both magi and Servants, especially while the latter are denied their powers.]

[That's why he has to do this. To give Shirou a reason to come back. It's not about his own feelings, he convinces himself, as he has done so many times before. It's simply the most logical conclusion.]

[The sound of a radio. Old-fashioned, undoubtedly, but the inability to be tracked should be helpful.]

Maiya. What's your current location?

I'm seeking information about this place. What does Persona mean? What year is it? Additionally, is there a public annals of residents in this area, specifically those that don't belong here?

[ After her discreet phone message, Maiya leaves her hotel room without any trace of herself. She's careful to check for hair on the pillow before leaving, her hands shoved tightly into her pocket. While she doesn't do anything particularly strange to stand out, she can be bothered throughout the day in Prospero at any of the following places:
(A) At the desk of the hotel. Maiya seems to be inquiring about various things such as who paid for her room, what day she registered on, and if she had any packages held for her. With disappointing replies all around, she chooses to dismiss the staff by walking away.

(B) At a magazine stand on the street. Maiya can be found flipping through various ones in an attempt to find out more information about her surroundings.

(C) At one of the newer blocks during the Dark Hour. While she's failed to catch the attention of any lurking shadows, she seems more interested in the strange coffin piece, inspecting it up close.
At the end of the day, she eventually returns to the hotel in an attempt to find more answers. ]
