[Saori sits on her bed with Sirius resting his head on her lap.]

Well, after a few derailments, it's time I announce some good news. Remember a while back I asked people's opinion on a garden roof on the hotel? I'm still green lighting that project. Due to the demand though, we're going to need some more space. Which is why...I'm going to be opening a cafe soon. I can use the roof top and a bit of the surrounding land for gardening purposes. Also I'm going to need some workers so I thought I'd ask here first.

Second set of news is for this upcoming Friday night, the 20th. Gilgamesh and I are having a challenge and we'd like an audience to be our judge. What we're challenging each other on is a secret until the big day. Though seriously, heart-themed? We'll be holding it in the hotel lobby and it shouldn't keep anyone too long. I hope to see some people there. Right, Sirius?

[The Australian Shepherd barks and gives his master a lick on the cheek, making Saori shriek then laugh. The feed cuts off.]

[The feed clicks on and at first there's silence for the first few seconds until there's the sound of someone gasping for breath and then coughing.]

Ow ow ow ow...I'm back? My third time dying, huh? [She laughs bitterly until she finds her phone on and recording.]

Hey, wait my phone's on. I don't want to be a bother, but can someone help me back to the hotel? I'm not exactly in the best condition to get up and walk after dying. I'm back where I was murdered. Shopping district, one of the alleys.

[The feed clicks off as she coughs some more.]

[audio -filter to Miles Edgeworth-]

Mr. Edgeworth, I'm ready to give you my statement as soon as you're ready. Don't worry, I won't disclose who murdered me to anyone else.

[Video flickers on and it's the roof top of the hotel in the background. Saori waves.]

So I had an idea come to me a while back and it might sound silly but hear me out. What do you guys think about putting a community roof top garden here?

Everyone can use this place to plant whatever you like. I already suggested the idea to the staff here and they gave the okay to do it if we decide to go along with it. Of course, I want to hear everyone out on this idea too.

[video clicks off.]

Alright, I got everything arranged. Your dinner with Saber will be for tomorrow at the hotel's lounge at 8 pm. Don't worry I got the place reserved for the both of you so there shouldn't be any interupptions. I don't care how you get her there, just be on time.

[If anyone has noticed, Saori hasn't been going to work since the event ended or seen outside of her room.]

I'm sorry about what happened with my last post. I don't know what came over me then but I would never do such a thing. As a precaution I've been staying in my room since then. I don't think I'm ready to see anyone just yet and I just wanted to let people know where I was this whole time.

Again, I'm sorry if I caused anyone some kind of inconvenience because of this.

[The video clicks on to an alleyway during the Dark Hour. A shadow is cornered by the phone owner. The phone is now placed on a stack of boxes. Over the shadow’s panicked squeal, there’s a soft laugh and Saori slowly approaches the shadow, sword in hand.]

You all know I’m dating Kaiji and would do anything to protect him, right? I promised myself to make sure he never gets hurt from both shadows and people. Also you better not get too comfy with him or this will happen.

[Without hesitation, she plunges the sword into the shadow and twists the blade while it’s still in the creature. She lets it sit there for a moment and even puts her foot on the shadow in case it tries to escape. After a bit, she sets it on fire with an agi spell and it reduces to ash.]

Of course I’d rather not do that to an actual person. So do yourself a favor and stay away from us. It’ll just be the two of us together. That would be the best.

[She giggles and turns off the phone.]

[Well, it’s finally here. The holiday everyone either loves or hates: Valentine’s Day. The video flickers on and it’s features a hotel room. Judging by the fact there was a bookshelf filled with folklore books and tea tins, this was Saori’s room. Kaiji sits on the bed, giving Sirius a belly rub. Saori’s voice could be heard even though she’s off camera.]

Sorry, Kaiji, I’ll be out in a second.

[Saori comes out and appears on the screen, her back towards the camera. She’s not dressed in her usual fare, but a cream colored baby doll lined with black lace along with matching panties. Thankfully because it covered up the necessary bits, there wouldn’t be any brain scarring moments from this. Hopefully.]

Saori! Wow, you, uh, y-you um...

[She had climbed up onto the bed while poor Kaiji was sputtering. After shooing Sirius off from the bed, she blinked at him and tilted her head.]

What’s wrong? You don’t like it?

No! I mean-- Yes! I mean, Yeah, I like it, it’s--

Well I just thought considering what today is, I thought we could spend a little private time together. We have been going out for some time after all.

[She moves in closer until she corners him to the headboard. Her hands rest on either side of Kaiji’s head, trapping him even further.]

Saori... Why are you acting like--

Don't tell me you haven't been curious, Kaiji.

[Eyes half-lidded, she smiles and softly laughs. She moves in closer but then at that moment, she passed out. While that happened, she accidentally leaned forward, resulting in headbutting her poor boyfriend and slumping against him.]

Ow! Damnit! What the hell? ...Saori? Saori!

[[ooc: Yep. Clearly no one saw this coming. Join post with Kaiji. If the color's not obvious, pink=Saori, purple=Kaiji. Saori will respond as soon as she becomes conscious.]]

[With the latest drama that happened between her and Miki, Saori hasn't been in the mood for the upcoming holiday. One thing people would notice though, she's spending less and less time at the hotel the past few days unless it was sleep, take care of Sirius or finishing up the chocolates she was going to give away.

Tonight, she can be found in the local bar, staring off into space while her beer is about to go flat. Do you approach her?]

I know there are people who are volunteering to help with the investigations on the Church through hacking and what not, but what about on a more personal level? If no one else has volunteered yet, maybe I could help with an undercover infiltration for investigation. They might have records or something of value that's not found in their computers.

Don't worry, I should be able to take of myself.

[There's some fumbling going on the background then a sigh as someone falls on their bed. Saori hasn't even noticed her phone is now on and recording. ]

Hm…let’s see…I’m sure if I give some of the local chefs 500 now and then 500 after the meal, I should be able to handle it. Maybe ten chefs will be enough. No squid, so maybe I’ll eliminate octopus too as a precaution. A shame, since I make some good takoyaki…well, it’d help if I had the right pan to make that. Some rice dishes, some potato based…maybe a curry and a stew…Quality shouldn’t be a problem but quantity will be.

Well, the menu’s almost complete. Just need to arrange the date and time with Gilgamesh.

And since Issei thought about giving away Valentine chocolates early, I should too. I might as well. Question is…what do I do for Kaiji? It is that special time…maybe I could…

[Sirius barks.]

Hm..? What’s wrong, boy? [gasp!] My phone was on?!

[There’s some noise as she panics to turn off her phone.]

[Saori's used to waking up early in the morning, but with Miki out of jail, she couldn't help but whip up something special for the occasion. If anyone happened to pass the hotel kitchen, they could hear her at work. Why was she up? She was making boxed lunches for her family. Heck, she made even extras just in case. Got to account for all the cousins and possible grandkids(?!).

Once she was done, she went to each hotel/dorm/apartment door from dear lovely grandma Bridget to the brother she clashed with the most, Gilgamesh and knocked. Sirius tagged along with her as well.]

Good morning. Sorry if I woke you early. I made lunch today.

Does anyone happen to know if there are places hiring? I'd like to give Miki some help with finding a new job.

[The feed opens to Saori sitting on her bed with Sirius laying down next to her along with a empty box of tissues. Her eyes are pretty red considering she's been crying for a while.]

I'm pretty sure everyone who goes to the high school would know by now but...Miki got arrested for her "training" attempt a while back. Truth is, I called the police on her because I just didn't know what to do with her. She has good intention and I thought this was for the best but now I'm regretting it.

I hoping to post her bail or pay whatever fines she has to pay but I don't think I'll have enough to cover it. I know there might be people here who don't see her in the greatest light, but if you have it in your hearts, would anyone would like to help?

Anyways, I hope you have a good night. I don't think I'll be going out in the Dark Hour today, by the way.

[With a final sigh, she turns off the feed.]

[The feed starts with Saori walking up the street leading to the hotel. There's a worried look on her face]

I...have a problem.

[The video shifts to look over her shoulder. A dog, from the looks of it a stray, is trailing right behind her.]

I don't know where it came from but it's been following me for sometime now. I've tried to shake it off but it keeps finding me and I don't know what it wants.

[She makes her way into the hotel lobby and yes, it's still followed her. She places the phone down on the coffee table. She turns to it.]

Sweetie, I'm sorry, but I don't have anything you want. I'm sure you'll have a nice owner one day. Now please lea-ACK!

[ There's a sound of someone being tackled and some heavy panting.]

No, sweetie, please get off of me! No, no licking! Oh please stop being adorable...

[Action, forward dating to 12/29]

[Chances are if someone is on the first floor, they might notice one of the rooms is open. There's several items, including books, tins of tea and other trinkets left outside. They might even hear someone humming a certain song. Turns out it was Saori this whole time, cleaning her room. It's really not much of a mess inside, but she wants to make sure everything's properly cleaned before the new year.]

Now, I know I can arrange my bookshelf much better than this...Maybe I can organize it by...ah, no that's not going to work.

[Audio]

This is more geared towards those who're going to the high school but I could use the feedback. Since I'm work at the cafeteria, I'm just wondering if you guys have any ideas for stuff we could serve up for variety. And of course, if you guys find me in the hotel kitchen, I'm happy to take requests.

[So is everyone getting tired of cookies yet? Well, Saori's made more for everyone. There's a small bag filled with checkerboard cookies and a personalized gingerbread person placed on everyone's doorstep in the hotel and also a few were sent to the those living in the school dorms. Each one has a handwritten note saying "Merry Christmas --Saori". Of course there are few extra gifts that need to be given:

Feel free to catch her placing the gifts at your door or around the hotel since school is on winter break or send her a message. Chances are you'll find her in the kitchen too.]

So...I have a question. And yes, it's about shopping for Christmas presents. I need to get a gift for Kaiji and well since I've started going out with him...the standards are a little higher now. Before anyone asks, no, I will not the more 'adult' route since we're not that far yet. I like do so something that's a little more classy than that but not food.

[Action: 7pm in the hotel kitchen]

[Saori just finished making some rather cute looking gingerbread houses, which might explain why the hotel smells of it tonight. All that's left is for everything to dry and it'll be ready for display. She thought it would be a nice addition to all the Christmas decorations in the lobby. That could be all done tomorrow since she's now asleep at a kitchen counter. Luckily, the ovens are off, so no fire hazards there. Now what?]

[Saori just finished up with the lunch hour duties and is sitting outside of Prospero High's cafeteria. She's looking at her phone, scrolling through her contacts list.]

She's really gone then. Now who do I ask to train me in fighting?

Hi guys. I'm pretty sure everyone by now has noticed the weather's getting colder. I don't mean to sound like a nag or anything, but try to be careful and make sure to keep yourselves warm whenever you go out. Now I don't care if you're used to the cold or something like that, everyone needs to be careful we don't fall sick.

On another note, I'll be in the hotel kitchen every night in case you want something warm like coffee or something before heading out in the Dark Hour. No alcohol though unless you're staying in or you come back early because I'm pretty unless you're a master of the Drunken Fist, drinking and fighting's not a good combo.

[The feed flickers to an knocked out Saori lying down on a street, who looks rather beaten up with a bruise here and there. Strangely enough, the voice that comes on that sounds like her.]

Oh my. I was never really much of a fighter until I came here. Not to mention I've been so hesitant about fighting again. It's pathetic really. Looks like curiosity about these 'duplicate shadows' got the best of me. Oh don't worry, I wouldn't kill myself just yet. At least not until you admits I'm around.

[At the moment, the normal Saori cough and stirs awake. The phone's put down somewhere so now the Shadow that was holding it is right in standing front of her.]

W-what are you talking about?

You know very well what I mean. You are me after all. You're hesitant about things and always give up any chance of happiness for yourself. But for what? So you could be that saintly motherly person people could rely on? Fulfill obligations to your family? Like back in college when you studied abroad and your boyfriend proposed to you. You turned it down and you saw just how crushed he was.

I wasn't ready for such a heavy commitment and--

And you'll never be ready if you keep shooting down the opportunities that come to you! Hell, you won't even try to confessing your feeling to that guy!

S-shut up. You know nothing about me.

[At this point, Shadow Saori yanks her up and slams her into a wall before she could even summon her Persona for an attack. Just then, the feed cuts off.]

[Action, immediately after the video.]
Stop kidding yourself, Saori Nakagawa. It's time you admit to yourself that you can't always be the one everyone can rely on. You can't even save yourself, for crike's sake.

[The Shadow drops Saori, leaving her to slump against the wall and walks away. As she speaks, she doesn't look back.]

You still have time to accept you for who you are. I suggest you don't waste any more of it.

It's funny how if you die and then come back to life, you do get a new perspective on things. It's cliche but true. I know I should be getting my replacement weapon and getting back to training but I can't seem to bring myself to do it. And now that someone mentioned it's a full moon tonight, part of me wants stay me to stay when I do want to go out. It's frustrating to say the very least. I'm not saying I think my death was waste. Far from it. It's just that maybe it didn't have to happen if I was much stronger.

So I have to ask, how do you get past that fear of going back to fighting after dying or a major defeat?
